About the role:
You’ll be Locale’s 2nd full-stack engineer and will work alongside the founding team. As a member of a small, scrappy team, we move fast to constantly roll out new customer-facing features, and improve the architecture that we’ll build on for years to come.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in an early-stage, Tier 1 investor backed, rapidly growing YC startup.
Who you are
- You love trying new foods and are passionate about our product
- You’re a self-starter. You don’t just want to be led. You constantly want to improve the product that you’re building and the processes that you use to build it
- You like writing and shipping code to production
- You know that tests, automation, and best practices are essential.
- You want to talk to customers and work hand in hand with them to find solutions that solve their real problems
- You have deep expertise in software development and an affinity for HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Experience in other languages (Python, C/C++) is a bonus
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of using metrics to measure success and drive and inform decisions

Your responsibilities
- Identifying and solving problems that our users face
- You’ll spend the majority of your time developing product specifications, and working with founders on the product roadmap
- Create the technical roadmap, solidify MVP, identify best tools and practices
- Work hand in hand with the Head of Design to make a delightful user experience
- Contribute to company strategy and technical vision
- Own everything that you ship. Make sure to test it thoroughly yourself and with your users to make sure it works and they love it
- Help scale us to hundreds of thousands of transactions, with thousands of partners across the US, in a safe, secure manner
