We’re hiring our first Full Stack Software Engineer to help bolster and scale our service. You’ll be working directly with the CEO and Head of Design and have the opportunity to create and own projects aligning with Locale’s mission. You’ll be working in a small team with ~15 young, passionate foodies and entrepreneurs. You’ll have the opportunity to grow with the team and provide meaningful impact.

• You love trying new foods and are passionate about our product
• You’re a self-starter. You don’t just want to be led. You constantly want to improve the product that you’re building and the processes that you use to build it
• You like writing and shipping code to production
• You know that tests, automation, and best practices are essential.
• You want to talk to customers and work hand in hand with them to find solutions that solve their real problems
• You have deep expertise in software development and an affinity for HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Experience in other languages (Python, C/C++) is a bonus
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of using metrics to measure success and drive and inform decisions

Your responsibilities

• Identifying and solving problems that our users face
• You’ll spend the majority of your time developing product specifications, and working with founders on the product roadmap
• Create the technical roadmap, solidify MVP, identify best tools and practices
• Work hand in hand with the Head of Design to make a delightful user experience
• Contribute to company strategy and technical vision
• Own everything that you ship. Make sure to test it thoroughly yourself and with your users to make sure it works and they love it
• Help scale us to hundreds of thousands of transactions, with thousands of partners across the US, in a safe, secure manner
