About the role:

You’ll be Locale’s first engineer dedicated solely to building out systems to improve our operations. You'll work the founding team to create anything ranging from packing apps to entire inventory management systems. As a member of a small, scrappy team, we move fast to constantly roll out new features, and improve the architecture that we’ll build on for years to come.

Who you are

• You love trying new foods and are passionate about our product
• You’re a self-starter. You don’t just want to be led. You constantly want to improve the product that you’re building and the processes that you use to build it
• You like writing and shipping code to production
• You constantly iterate products to improve measurable outcomes
• You're willing to get hands on and work directly with our operations team to find solutions that solve their real problems
• You have deep expertise in software development and an affinity for React and database systems
• Experience in other languages (Python, C/C++) is a bonus
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of using metrics to measure success and drive and inform decisions

Your responsibilities

• Identifying and solving problems that our operations team faces
• You’ll spend the majority of your time developing internal tools used to run our operations
• Create the technical roadmap, solidify MVP, identify best tools and practices
• Contribute to company strategy and technical vision
• Own everything that you ship. Make sure to test it thoroughly yourself and with your users to make sure it works and they love it
• Help scale us to hundreds of thousands of orders, with thousands of partners across the US, in a scalable manner
